PR, COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING INTERIM ROLES IN SUPPORT OF UK PANDEMIC RESPONSE

FULL TIME – TEMPORARY PLACEMENTS OF 6-9 MONTHS

START IMMEDIATELY (WORK FROM HOME)

 

Roles are:

Chief press officer (GRADE 7)

Communications managers (numerous roles at GRADE 6-7)

Internal communications managers (GRADE 6-7)

Senior communication lead (GRADE 7)

Marketing lead (GRADE 7)

Stakeholder engagement manager (GRADE 7)

 

Experience of working with or within a healthcare or research setting and/or Government department an advantage. Skilled in crisis communications essential.

We are seeking experienced and talented PR, communications and marketing professionals for numerous high-profile interim roles working to deliver effective internal and external communications and marketing as part of the UK’s pandemic response.

 

Responsibilities include:

Working as part of a large team, and depending upon which role candidates apply for, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Collaborating with a myriad of government departments and organisations in the health research eco system to rapidly deliver an outline communications strategy;
  • Creating a strategy and putting it into an action plan and leading/coordinating the delivery of it (as part of a wider collaborative team);
  • Creating messaging to support internal and external storytelling plus specific topics and events;
  • Thought leadership (where appropriate) – to position our client as thought leaders in key trade and national press;
  • Speech writing (where appropriate)
  • Press office – working with other departments to generate and manage the news pipeline and incoming enquiries;

 

Ideal candidates will be strategically and politically savvy, senior PR and communications professionals with experience of working within an agency or at a senior level in-house.

 

  • Qualifications & skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in PR
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Team player with resilience that can work under pressure
